Well, not according to Ntsiki Mazwai who is known to shun any ideology that body shames people, especially women who do not fit into that category of what constitutes a perfect body.
Known to be a non-conformist and a vocal individual who enjoys calling out B.S when she sees it, Ntsiki has now decided that in order to make umkhaba (potbellies) acceptable, especially to mainstream media, she from now on, will proudly show off her mkhaba on Moja Love's talk show - Show Me Love.
Ntsiki revealed this during an interview with Isolezwe as she expressed that she is tired of women feeling ashamed of their potbellies. She is determined to make female potbellies look natural on television and to also encourage other women to be proud and comfortable in their own skin
"I want potbellies to be spoken about. I will start by wearing clothes that reveal my potbelly so that people can be free about their own potbellies too. Also, so that people can stop squeezing themselves in clothes trying to hide their potbellies. I know people will talk, but after a while, I know some people will follow suit."
What are your thoughts about Ntsiki's stance about potbellies? Do you have a potbelly and would you also show it off proudly like Ntsiki does with hers?
