After making an emphatic debut with "Wuzdat", a single which earned her a South African Hip Hop Awards nomination, the country has been glued on Boity's feeds, waiting to discover what her next move would be. For weeks, the rapper (who also doubles as a presenter and fashion entrepreneur) has been teasing at a second single; even going as far as performing it in front of select audiences.
But after the speculation became unbearable, Boity took to social media to confirm the news we had all been waiting to hear: a second single was on its way and it would be arriving sooner than we all thought.
The rapper wrote on Twitter:
"The wait is over!! I’m finally dropping my second official single titled #BAKAE produced by Ganja Beatz this Friday!"
She also shared the artwork for the new record:
For those wondering, "Ba Kae" directly translates to "Where are They" in SeTswana and SeSotho and one wonders if this might be a direct shot at Boity's competition (2019 already seems to be the year of beef following Riky Rick and Cassper's heating drama).
The announcement was met with excitement on social media as many fans thanked their fav for finally giving the second single they had been anxiously awaiting:
How do you think #Bakae will measure up with "WuzDat?"
