We have to admit, we nearly gave up on the singing competition following year after year of the same old boring routine.
But the show’s decision to move Somizi from backstage choreographer to leading judge has proven to be the best decision.
We can’t get enough of him, and below are some of his classic faces that usually have us on the floor in stitches.
The ”Ooh Shem” Face
Somizi is not afraid to speak his mind whether his fellow judges agree with him or not. And when they do disagree, it is written all over his face.

The “That Was Fire” Face
When Somizi gets really excited, he lets his inner rainbow shine through – and well, we can’t say Randall Abrahams is feeling all the excitement.
I can’t deal @unathimsengana & @somizi act like twins #IdolsSA 🙌🏾😍 pic.twitter.com/AOtG0Oe2OJ

Fans love the ball of energy that is Somizi and are enjoying the vibe he adds to the show.

But co-judge Unathi has some faces of her own. Well, one face really – the “I am so moved face”.
