Papa Penny has been in the entertainment industry for more than three decades and he has seen the highs and lows of fame. Over the years, the musician has gained a large following and he is one of South Africa’s original pop superstars.
Although he has been in the entertainment industry for decades, many people know him for his hit Mzansi Magic reality show, a couple of days ago, there were rumours that the star was bankrupt after a series of messages were sent from his phone asking his contacts for money.
Speaking to Daily Sun, the musician set the record straight, “this is very bad and I wonder how they got hold of my number. People were told to deposit between R5000 and R10 000 as if I was having some cash flow problems,”
He then went on to add that a lot of damage had been done by the fraudsters.
Papa Penny is not the first star to have their phone number hacked, a couple of months ago, Nasty C’s phone was allegedly hacked by fraudsters.
