Times are hard and with our unemployment rate at an all-time high, it is always inspiring to hear the likes of Pastor Pushie offering their advice on how the youth can better their situation regardless of our dwindling economy.
During her interview on Touch HD, Pushie touched on many facets of her life including how she immediately knew that the entertainment industry was no longer for her and strengthening her relationship with God.
During her 20's, Pastor Pushie was that IT Girl who attended the fanciest of industry parties, gaining free access to clubs and was on our TV screens every Friday night on Jam Alley. From the outside looking in, her life was a dream.
But her experience of being in an abusive relationship and dealing with her own inner turmoils led former entertainer to turn over a new leaf which includes dedicating her life to the church and spreading the word of God.
Pastor Pushie has inspired a lot of people with her message, one message we think a lot of people need to hear is her advice on unemployment and how we can all tackle unemployment in our own individual capacities.
During the interview, Pushie mentioned a lot of people used to ask her how she managed to keep busy when she was not working and the operative word was "volunteering."
"Go out there and volunteer, if you're any good at what you're doing and passionate, maybe within three months you might be employed. But you're sitting at home anyway, so just go and start making yourself available. God doesn't call the qualified he qualifies the call. Go and make yourself available so that somebody will see that you're willing and you're able and then success is when opportunity and preparation meets. Be found." Said Pastor Pushie.
