Madiba1
Supplied

Madiba’s grandson & wife are elegantly dressed in clean neutral tones. This mummy to be has cleverly combined western couture with a headscarf & his traditional skirt with a military styled jacket are both practical whilst respectfully paying homage to each others culture & community.

Mr & Mrs Mbeki
Supplied

Mamma Mbeki is certainly channeling her inner Audrey Hepburn in this simple polka dot skirt adding a Buffon for a little volume to her petite frame. Finished with a short simple jacket accentuating her tiny waist, highlighted by a clean pearl necklace & brooch reminds us of mamma Mbeki’s presidential personality!

Whilst
white can be clean & posh, unfortunately madam’s dress is a total miss for
the occasion. Far too bridal & heavy in its sequined finish, pity as she
has a lovely figure, maybe she should have also opted for an upstyle hairdo to
take the weight away from her neck & shoulders.

Gigaba
Supplied

Absolutely gorgeous choice of fabric, colour & texture for this hour-glass figured beauty!! The bustier is subtle under the fabric, perfectly interrupted by her silk belt highlighting her narrow waist. The slight mermaid tail also adds length to her lines without overpowering the complete look. It’s a winner for me!

Random lady

She’s
certainly channeling her inner Oprah. The loose curls and cinched gold brocade
with extra pleating may work on a red carpet, not parliament. Bubbly
personality beautiful smile – should have just got rid of the pleating, pulled
up the shoulders with a straighter bustline for a slightly older and more
fuller figured lady

SONA17
Supplied

This simple Kaftan with sharp boxed edges unfortunately is turning this lovely lady into a human backgammon board!! A tea-length dark pencil skirt with a fitted complimentary jacket would have certainly lent shape, structure & prominence to this special guest, finished off with simple pearl earrings & necklace.
