Relebogile is one of the most popular voices on South African radio right now. The Fresh Breakfast co-host is currently holding the fort on the Metro FM breakfast show in the absence of the usual main host, DJ Fresh. She's doing her best right now, but fans are unhappy with the fact that their beloved big dawg is off air.
As troublesome as some of the bullying has been on social media, it's nothing compared to what is going on in her personal life. A particularly worrying report over the weekend suggested that she is currently fearing for her life after being threatened by a fashion designer and a group of Nigerian nationals.
According to this weekend's Sunday World, the drama stems from a falling out that the Metro FM presenter experienced with local fashion designer, Rea Kalape.
Relebogile had reportedly entrusted the emerging designer to create an outfit for a shoot which the presenter had been booked for. But according to a statement issued to SAMRO, the deal fell through when Rea failed to deliver on time.
Part of the statement in Sunday World reads, "Then the deadline was the 8th April 2019 for delivery and the amount of R7,500 paid via eWallet. Then the balance was R6,100. The service was not delivered on time and on the 9th April 2019 a balance of R1,200 was sent to him for him to release her things."
While we have not seen evidence of this ourselves, the paper alleges that Rea used some of his "Nigerian Friends" to intimidate Relebogile into paying the money that is allegedly owed - a fee we believe to be in the region of R3,500.
When this happened, Relebogile decided to hit back by opening a case of intimidation at the Linden Police Station before the situation gets too dangerous.

Rea, however, is singing a completely different tune and he claims that there were no threats issued to Relebogile whatsoever. "I was straight forward with her and I told her that if she does not pay me, I was going to take her to the papers. Is that intimidation? I don't think so because I did not threaten her life. She is the one who intimidated me with police officers to avoid paying me,"
Twitter users who have caught on to the story appear to be in shock that things have escalated this far out of hand:
Whose side of this messy story do you believe?
