Jamie was attacked by three armed men during the hijack.
Actor, Jamie Bartlett who plays the role of “Davind Genaro” on Rhythm City was involved in a near-death experience last week when he was hijacked at gunpoint and shoved into the booth of his car.
According to EWN Bartlett was physically assaulted then dumped at a field in the East Rand near a township called Zonkizizwe.
According to other reports, the three armed hijackers had also taken the actors cellphone and two gold rings worth a fortune.
e.tv released a brief statement assuring the fans of the actor that Jamie is in good spirits and recovering well.
“Jamie is fit physically and strong both physically and mentally he will be back on set before you can say knife.” Read the statement.
