The rapper, who scooped a couple of nods on Thursday evening, has been critcised for selling his branded vests for R700.
Yes, R700! Is that too much? Well, some people feel that the rapper is ripping his fans off.
They have taken to Twitter to voice some of their views on the matter.

I'm not saying Riky Rick shouldn't produce his vest. It clearly has a market but you can't deny that R700 for a vest is a rip off!— Desdemona (@LaLa_Juelz) January 15, 2016
does riky rick remember that not all his fans are rich so when he makes exclusionary merch & says things like that, its a bit rude?— foyinsola (@foyinog) January 15, 2016

The award-winning rapper has also taken to the social network to break down the cost.
He first pointed out that the vest people are complaining about has been selling for that price for over a year. "It's always sold out," he added.
People that want the Boss Zonke vest buy it. People that dont want it or cant afford it dont buy it. Simple. Did I mention its Sold Out.— #SIDLUKOTINI (@rikyrickworld) January 15, 2016
I didn't make that Vest for every Tom, Dick and Thando. I drop 200 at a time for the real niggaz, its not mass produced and it sells out.— #SIDLUKOTINI (@rikyrickworld) January 15, 2016
It costs me close to R400 to make that vest because Ive decided to produced my clothing locally and support our industry in hard times.— #SIDLUKOTINI (@rikyrickworld) January 15, 2016
You guys are out here making jokes about me while you are getting truly ripped of by big brands that make a shoe for R80 and sell for R1800.— #SIDLUKOTINI (@rikyrickworld) January 15, 2016
So basically. Cost Price: R400 -> Retail Price: R700 -> profit: R300... That mean Im losing R100 everytime I order another batch.💡— #SIDLUKOTINI (@rikyrickworld) January 15, 2016
He then thanked those who continue to support him.
Some didn't get his explanation.

And, of course, Sizwe Dhlomo had to come to the rescue.
What the kid is saying is that from the R300 profit, he has to order a R400 vest & until the sale of that vest is realised, he’s down R100.— Sizwe Dhlomo (@SizweDhlomo) January 15, 2016
Would you buy the vest?
