Robert Mararwa allegedly thought Touch HD lacked the range

Ever since he went out on his own and started Touch HD, radio personality, Tbo Touch has made no secret of who he wants on his line up but he has thus far struggled to lock in the big names, like Bonang Matheba and Robert Marawa.

While both, have thus far, remained mum about why they never joined his team, it turns out that Marawa thought Touch HD lacked the range to house his brand after he left Metro FM, shortly after Bonang Matheba citing similar differences with management.

Touch reached out to Marawa in early 2017 and Marawa agreed to take the meeting where he was given a contract he never signed.

"I still have a copy of Touch's contract at home. I took him out to lunch and I said to him, 'the kind of people I'm trying to reach out to would be a waste on your platform,'" explained Marawa in an interview with Drum

Marawa, who has stated that he has his fans to thank for his return will officially be back in August with two simulcast shows on Metro FM and Radio 2000 after ironing out his issues with the public broadcaster.

Touch has declined to officially comment on what Marawa said but we can only wonder how that makes him feel.
