Since 2010, Gospel great, Rebecca Malope has shared that she would be releasing a movie about her childhood and her road to stardom.
But throughout the years, we’ve seen little to no signs of the movie surfacing. The movie was set to be originally directed by music legend, turned filmmaker, Sello Chicco Twala. According to reports, the movie was to be divided into three parts which include Rebecca as a teenager, Rebecca in her 30’s as a successful Gospel singer and Rebecca now in the present.
In 2015 she did wrap up her first movie, but it was not about her biography, instead, the movie she acted on was about her playing the character of an alcoholic by the name of Thembi.
However, according to gossip mongers, Rebecca Malope is ready to release her biography in the near future as she has so much to share about her humble beginnings and life in the limelight.
The movie was initially set to be released in Mpumalanga when the news broke about her biography but since then, things have been extremely quiet.
If this biography is really happening there are a few things we’d love to see in the movie. This includes her close friendship with the late Lundi Tyamara, her miscarriage and the day she found out about the untimely passing of fellow gospel singer and associate, Vuyo Mokoena.
We have no doubt that this biography will be a hit at the box office, plus we all know that gospel fans are great supporters, just like maskandi fans
