The South African Hip Hop Awards were held in Gold Reef City, Johannesburg, on Wednesday night. A lot of conversation was generated around the nominees before the event, the most notable one being Boity with her first ever nomination for her debut track Wuz Dat, featuring Nasty C.

Overall, all the selected winners received widespread positive feedback and praise, with the biggest winners of the night being Kwesta with six awards, while Nasty C and Stogie T bagged two awards each.
One of the most celebrated winners of the evening was Moozlie, who walked away with the Best Female Award. The rapper and TV presenter received a lot of support from other musicians and fans.
