The SABC has come out to express their offer of support to Masechaba after she confronted Mampintsha about abusing Babes Wodumo.
After revealing that she was aware of Mampintsha's alleged abuse against Babes Wodumo, Masechaba made it clear that she would be willing to deal with the Broadcasting Complaints Commission of South Africa (B.C.C.SA) if she is found guilty of violating any broadcasting policies written under the jurisdiction of the B.C.C.S.A.
Speaking to Isolezwe, SABC spokesperson - Kaizer Kganyago said that they would not stop talking about issues & problems that affect people.
"Someone told me that they thought Babes Wodumo was ambushed during that interview, I don't know what they're talking about because as media broadcasters you use the opportunity and platform given to ask questions, she (Masechaba) used the platform to ask questions pertaining to the issue at hand, it's normal." Said Kganyago.
He also insisted that it's important that conversations around issues that affect the community be spoken about openly as a radio station that is for the community, they will continue on doing so regardless of the fact that a person is famous or not.
"A few weeks ago we saw people getting killed, if this happens to someone who is famous we must still address the issue at hand."
