Salamina Mosese is one of our favourite former child-stars. Unlike most child stars, the actress and mother has managed to keep it together, she lives a pretty normal life with no drama.
The actress who is now a mom took to Twitter to share a very strange encounter she had with her a daughter at a restaurant Take a look at her tweets below.

Just witnessed a cringe worthy exchange between my daughter and two little girls she just met at this restuarant. It needs a whole blog post, the way I'm so traumatized.
Little girl to Tumi: Hello. Do you want to play with me and my sister?— Salamina Mosese (@salaminaM) July 15, 2018
Tumi: Hi. Ok. (Turns to me to ask if she can go play...I say yes u can go)
10 minutes later they all come back to our table.
Little girl to me: Are you Emily's Mom?
Me to little girl: Emily? Who's Emily?— Salamina Mosese (@salaminaM) July 15, 2018
I look at Tumi. She looks like she is wishing for the universe to open up and swallow her whole.
Tumi: Mommy I told them my name and they said they can't say it. So they asked me if they could call me Emily...I said it's fine.

I turn to the little girls. I can feel a lecture coming on.

Also me: Darling, what's your name?— Salamina Mosese (@salaminaM) July 15, 2018
Little girl: my name is Lilly.
Me: Nice to meet you Lilly. My daughter's name is Tumelo. You can call her Tumi for short, but for now Tumi and I need to talk, she'll come play with you just now.
In my most serious Mom voice, I say to her, Tumelo Mosese, what is your name?— Salamina Mosese (@salaminaM) July 15, 2018
Tumi: it's Tumelo.
Me: Right. My angel, u must never ever let anyone tell u they can't pronounce your name. If ppl can't even make an effort to get your name right, it means they don't respect you.
Tumi: yes Mommy— Salamina Mosese (@salaminaM) July 15, 2018
Me: Do u understand what I'm saying nana?
Tumi: I do
Me again (I'm determined to make this a teaching moment): You must never apologise for who you are. If You can learn to pronounce their names correctly, they must do the same for you.
Tumi: I won't do it again
