Former Live Amp presenter, Dj Warras, has vented out his frustrations over the high testing fee of Corona Virus. This follows after TimesLive reported that tests for the deadly virus are now conducted at private laboratories, without the public having to go to the National Institute of Communicable Diseases (NICD).
The tests cost R1, 200. Dj Warras weighed in on the matter. He said the tests are not pocket-friendly and they should be done for free because South Africans, cannot afford to pay such a huge amount of money.
Outspoken news anchor Sizwe Dhlomo replied by saying how is it going to be free when labs are private. Warras said the government should at least subsidize the private lab's because It’s important for everyone to get tested swiftly to prevent the epidemic of the virus.
