Spotlight on #DailyThetha's NIcolette Mashile

Not only is Daily Thetha host, Nicolette Mashile on your screen everyday, she finds time to MC events, work on her fitness and provide guidance to those wishing to build a secure financial future.

This is probably why she also low-key refers to herself as the Financial Fitness Bunny and runs an initiative of a similar name.

Born and raised in Mpumalanga's Bushbuckridge, the 30-year-old, media personality has a passion for using her experiences to inspire and educate the masses both through her work in TV and her various social media platforms.

She spent most of her life in her hometown but needed to move after high school in pursuit of the good education she had always known she wanted so she went to study Social Studies and Law at the Rhodes University in Grahamstown. She was unfortunately not able to complete her degree so she later moved to Johannesburg to try again in a different field of study.

She obtained, not one but, four qualifications; a National Diploma in Sports Management, a BA in Human and Social Studies majoring in Communications; an Honours in organisational communication and a post graduate diploma in business admin which later enabled her to be a Masters candidate in 2018.

Through it all, she managed to join the newly established Gauteng television station, GauTV in 2015 as the host of their flagship programme, Assertiveness. Like Daily Thetha, it was a youth-driven talk show in which Nicolette was required to engage with guests on a wide variety of topics that are relevant and applicable to the youth's day-to-day experiences.

Nicolette is currently a property investor with what she describes as "an impressive property portfolio" in addition to being a social entrepreneur who believes in people development and advancement.

Lastly, her passion for financial education which sees her wanting to “level up” fellow Africans' financial literacy has seen her start a social media page dedicated to that purpose. The page is called 'Financial Literacy with Nicolette Mashile' and you can click here to access it
