T-Bo Touch forced to retract Cassper/AKA ban

T-Bo Touch forced to retract Cassper/AKA ban

Aug 22, 2014, 01:35 AM

The radio DJ on Wednesday stated during his Touchdown 326 show that he is boycotting the music of both AKA and Cassper Nyovest because the SABC disapproves of violence.

He made this statement in light of Nyovest’s recent claims that a member of AKA’s entourage pulled a gun on him.

However, according to the Sowetan, Metro FM has since said that they had nothing to do with this decision.

T-bo Touch when approached for comment reportedly told the publication: “We have a crises in SA where violence is a problem.”

But the DJ and his resolute stance was apparently steamrollered by the radio station, whose communication manager, Happy Ngidi, in turn said: “We distance ourselves from the utterances he made.”

The Sowetan further reports that T-bo Touch was eventually forced to admit defeat and, after a meeting with the station’s manager, said both AKA and Nyovest’s music will still receive radio play after all.
