#TheQueenMzansi fans are excited to see Phemelo Motene

Not only does the Mzansi Magic soapie, The Queen, start every new season with a deadly bang, they also use their platform to both introduce us to new talent and re-introduce us to the talent we fell in love with back in the day.

They recently did so by convincing former Generations actress, Phemelo Motene, to take to the screen once again in the role of Adelaide Maake, Jerry Maake's sister and Thato's mother who returns to mourn her brother, Roy, in the wake of Shaka and Mmabatho's deadly wedding.

Like most new characters on The Queen, Adelaide comes with her own drama and Roy's wife, Cleo wants her gone.

Fans immediately took to the timeline to express their Joy about Motene's return.

She has been off screen for about five years, working primarily as a producer and host at Primedia's 702 in addition to numerous other roles. Her most notable role to date is that of Khensani Moroka on SABC 1's flagship soapie, Generations.

The Queen airs weeknights on Mzansi Magic, DStv channel 161 at 9 pm and repeats on Saturday mornings from 11 am.
