You know him from his fictional character Sechaba Moloi on Isidingo but actor Motlatsi Mafatshe has come a long way but as he thrives in the industry and he is set to take on more opportunities that might leave his name in the history book, there might be a couple of things you should learn about him.

Motlatsi Mafatshe canfly a plane as he once wanted to become a pilot while he was still in highschool before pursuing a career in arts.

“I’ve always wanted to be a pilot as a kid...I was exposed to this world that I wanted to be a pilot and then I had an opportunity in High school to fly planes and then ultimately I got bored because you see when you’re flying there, you can only just fly and that's it…” he said in a recent interview on Trending SA

  • After realising at an early age that being a pilot was not his ultimate dream he studied musical direction at AFDA, and that was stemmed by his exposure to the musical industry at a young age.
  • The singer who is also a producer was the opening act at the Hansa Festival of legends for Usher back in 2012.

While he plans on taking up different roles as an actor, Motlatsi is training as a director at Isidingo.

“I’ve been doing Isidingo for quite some time now and I’ve started training, to direct the show as well, I wanna create my own films, I think we need to up the game...I want to get into films and play different roles” 

 Motlatsi’s dream project is to direct his own musical film one day.

“I love to direct a musical, the last musical we had was Sarafina...we need a South African musical on film, I was thinking about all these ideas..."
