It's official: celebrities are no longer afraid to experiment with their hair colours. They've gone from the either black, blonde or brown to basically anything. And let's face it, rainbow hair is the perfect way to spruce up your new look for the new year. It doesn't matter if you're looking for soft pastel ice cream shades or bold vivid colours - our faves are always looking to try something new in this age of fearlessness.
Dare to go bolder? Whether it's a wig or braids, let us provide you with the ultimate hair colour inspiration courtesy of our ZAlebs.
Dineo Ranaka's Metamorphosis
We've seen many versions of Dineo on her family's hit reality show, The Ranaka's. The nice thing about colourful hair is that it can signal a new beginning. Dineo's pursuing a new career and pulled out this red wig with dark roots to usher in a new look to match.
Do you like to match everything? Well here's a look for you. DJ Zinhle recently wowed fans in her photoshoot for a recent cover of Glam Africa Magazine. In the spread, she wore a monochromatic look that perfectly matched her blush pink wig. It is definitely one of her best style moments to date so why not try it yourself?
Nomzamo's Pixie Cut
Nomzamo Mbatha took a break from her signature natural hair to another one of her go-to styles: the pixie. This time, though, she took some bright red dye to it. Fans loved seeing her in a pop of colour so much, we hope she brings it back soon!
Amanda Black has been experimenting more with her style since exiting Ambitiouz Entertainment last year. Although still finding her feet as an independent artist, she's clearly not afraid to take risks. She opted for this half-and-half hot water braids style. The trend has been popular on instagram so no wonder she tried her hand at it. This is a fun and affordable way for anyone to add some colour to their crown.
Another trend to try is what some call "the swirl". That's for girls a little bit more on the wild side who love colour, like our own Nadia Nakai. The rapper loves her blue, blonde, pink and purple wig so much that she's been spotted in it a few times. It's not for everyone but on the right woman with the right attitude, it's over for the rest of us.
