There's a new member added into the ZAlebs la familia picture frame and we're sure many of you know him for his meticulous sense of street style, walking about in the streets of Braamfontein with a fresh pair of Air Max sneakers or some killer designer shirt that will have you boggling your mind as to where he buys his clothes. Well ladies and gentlemen you need not wonder anymore because this street-style soldier known as Kabelo 'Mr Calbre' Moremi gives us the low-down on some of the trendiest urban wear threads to look out for in these streets:
"The world of fashion trends is very interesting and sometimes very unpredictable. We have seen the development of street wear go from strength to strength. We must commend street wear lovers on their ability to incorporate elements from different cultures, for instance look at how print has crept into high fashion and more importantly how it basically ruled in street wear as of recent. It’s awesome how street style has also taken a leaf out of the pantsula’s book dressing. Pantsula’s aren’t strangers to print at all and more so than print they are no strangers to the bucket hat or as it’s known in South African streets as “spottie”.
Street style lovers seem to have really warmed up to bucket hats. You are guaranteed to spot an awesome bucket hat on any street style blog or site and every street wear label has a range of bucket hats. You find them in a rage of different materials and prints.
The bucket hat goes with anything that one wears and it isn’t gender specific both girls and guys can swag it out awesomely. So since its spring you might want a bucket hat to shield you from the African sun."
