Trevor Noah just keeps putting South Africa on the map, The top comedian, who joined The Daily Show as a contributor last year, could soon become the show's host.

According to variety.com, Trevor has been considered as a potential successor to Jon Stewart, who left the Comedy Central late night show this year.

According to the site, a final decision has not been reached yet.

The Daily Show has reportedly only had just two hosts since it launched in 1996; Craig Kilborn and Jon Stewart. Jon's contract with Comedy Central ends in September and, according to The New York Times, during a recent taping of the show, the comedian said "in my heart, I know it is time for someone else" to have the opportunity.

He said although he has a lot of ideas, he doesn't have any specific plans yet.

Taking over from Jon would be a big move in Trevor's career. He's one talented man and we wish him all the best.
