Trevor Noah showed off his tennis skills in Cape Town as he and Rafa Nadal went head to head against Roger Federer and Bill Gates. In the end, Trevor's mistakes cost them the contest!

All roads, plane routes and shipping lanes led to Cape Town on Friday as over 50,000 fans gathered to watch the highly anticipated Match In Africa: A friendly match between two of the sport's biggest legends, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.

Federer and Nadal are long time rivals who have squared off against one another on more occasions than we can count, and the matches are always titanic. This weekend fans got the chance to watch them live in South Africa for the first time and the mood in the Mother City was electric.

But before their big showcase, there was another massive match that took place on the court at the Cape Town Stadium. Trevor Noah stepped up to the court as he tried to impose himself as a force to be reckoned with. And Mzansi LOVED everything that went down:

The doubles match was intensely fought. Both Trevor and Bill Gates gave their professional partners a run for their money, but the real rivalry on the court was between Trevor and Federer. Both of them have Swiss heritage and you could see the blood boiling as they faced off.

Trevor continued to smack talk his opponents in a bid to try and put them off their game. With every serve you could see the South African comic mouthing some friendly insults towards his opponents.

The match looked like it was going to go down to the wire until two double faults from Trevor Noah in the eighth game cost him and Rafa victory.

Despite this, Mzansi has been loving Trevor Noah's return to the country which coincided with Zozibini's homecoming. It almost feels like a family reunion, with our children from overseas coming to visit!

Did you enjoy Trevor Noah's contribution to the #MatchInAfrica?
