Trevor Noah has just revealed that he will no longer be performing stand-up shows for the remainder of 2018. The announcement came just days after he landed in the USA following the Global Citizen Festival in South Africa.
Trevor has worked really hard this year. He’s held it down on The Daily Show week in, week out, while also attending some of the biggest events in the world including and he just dropped his own Netflix special. All of that has taken a toll on his body and when he returned to New York, it was his voice that suffered the most.
If you’ve caught the most recent episode of The Daily Show, you will notice that the comedian lost his voice almost completely and asked others to help him.

With this in mind, the comedian has to make a decision about the rest of the year and how he plans on recovering his vocal muscles. Sadly for some of his biggest fans, that decision meant postponing his remaining shows this year.
The Son of Patricia explained:
While we laughed at the “The Rock in Gym, but for voice” joke, it was an understandable measure to take. Many of his fans were disappointed, but understood why he had to postpone.
Man that sucks I was looking forward to seeing you on the 15th it was a early Christmas gift for the wife. But health is number one sir. Get better and stronger and I look forward to seeing you in 2019.— m s (@Aakduce) December 5, 2018
While one fan, in particular, suggested that he seek remedy from his grandmother.
