It was around this time twenty-one years ago that the local music scene got introduced to a young musical maestro named DJ Tira.
Anyone that doesn't know DJ Tira definitely needs to be given the side eye. This is the man behind one of the most iconic independent record labels in South Africa, Afrotainment.
Although, DJ Tira's tenure in the music industry has been mostly spent putting on other artists, the DJ has also done remarkable things for himself in his own career.

His skills as a DJ have solidified him as one of the best in the land. Innovation forms a big part of delivering a memorable set for the masses and Tira has been consistent in this regard. His performances are always a whole production - lights, guitarist, hit songs and of course, amazing crowd interaction!

In as much as some celebrities would primarily prefer to be known for their work - their private lives are also an interest to the public.
Many years ago, dark times loomed over DJ Tira's love life. His previous marriage to Lale Ngcobo was constantly under the media spotlight for various reasons. After eventually parting ways, allegations of sorcery from Lale's end, were cited as one of the reasons behind their split.
The Makoya Bearings has since found love in the arms of businesswoman, Gugu Khathi. The two have been married for a while and have two beautiful children together.
