On Saturday, 24 March, 2018, Hollywood's elite will be making their way to The Forum in California for the 2018 Kids Choice Awards which will be hosted by WWE star turned actor, John Cena.
The Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards is a 90-minute-long annual American awards show that airs on youth channel, Nickelodeon and began way back in 1987.
The aim of the show is to honor the year's biggest television, movie, and music acts as voted by Nickelodeon viewers. The show usually features numerous celebrity guests and musical acts and a fan favourite - slime stunts.
In recent years, the show has gone beyond U.S. borders in search of stars to honor from other nations. This year, three of SA's own are up for awards alongside other African acts.
Black Coffee is up for the Favourite Global Music Star award, while Cassper Nyovest and Caster Semenya are both nominated in the Favourite African Star category. The other African acts on the list, include the likes of Davido (Nigeria), Emmanuella (Nigeria), Eddy Kenzo (Uganda) and Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania).
The 2018 Kids Choice Awards will premiere on Nickelodeon (DStv channel 305) and Nick Toons (DStv channel 308) on Sunday, 25 March at 17:05 CAT.
