On Tuesday morning, South Africa woke up to the sad news of the passing of late actor, who acted on numerous shows such as Emzini Wezinsizwa and Shaka Zulu
Speaking to Morning Live, Sixolo's son, Zolani said his father was a great man who loved making people laugh.
"To the world, he was known as a great actor but at home, all I can say is that he was the best husband to my mom and the best father to me and my siblings. One thing we will always remember him for is his sense of humor, even when he was sick, his sense of humor was still there.
People would come at home to pay him a visit because he couldn't walk anymore and he would ask them why they were there because if anything, he was the one that was supposed to pay them a visit, not the other way around, he was just a man full of laughter and that's what we'll always miss about him," said Zolani.
Zolani also hopes that South Africans can start recognizing talent and start honoring people who have worked in the industry whilst they're still alive.
Mr Sixolo will be buried on Sunday, 11 June 2017 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Orlando East, Soweto.
Rest in peace Washington Sixolo.
