Not only is she a force to be reckoned with in the entertainment industry, she's also a ballsy businesswomen and avid activist.
Her rags to riches story, documented in memoir From A to B, is evidence of this.
Queen B, as she is affectionately known, also has plenty pearls of wisdom to share with her fans, many of which are impressionable youth and young girls hoping to follow in her footsteps.
Bonang, who recently hosted the Miss SA pageant on Women's Day, was a guest speaker at the guest speaker at Forbes's 30 under-30 meet-up earlier this year and a clip of her key-note address has now gone viral.
The clip - which was shared by EFF leader Julius Malema - sees Bonang warning young people to stop feeling entitled and to start owning their own actions.
"People have things to do. You're not anyone's priority. So get that out of your head. No one owes you anything, these delusions of grandeur has [sic] to stop because no one has to wake up and help you do anything sweetheart," she says in the clip.
And fans have praised B's pull-no-punches approach to the topic.
"Stings but I really needed to hear this", "I felt that and almost collapsed because wow truth hurts" and:"Unpolluted wisdom" were some of the responses to the viral tweet.
Meanwhile Bonang has another reason to pop the bubbly.
The hostess with the mostess was announced as the winner of the Business and Entertainment Award at the Bring Her Up: Women of Firsts Awards this week.
Let that be a lesson to you kids. Success ONLY comes after hard work.
