As the South African hip hop community grieves the death of HHP aka Jabulani Tsambo, we celebrate his life and the many lives he touched with his music.
Our fondest and most recent memory of HHP was when he did a freestyle remix to Prince Kaybee's Club Controller on Metro FM's Breakfast Show.
The freestyle was so good that the public begged for HHP & Prince Kaybee to collaborate and do a remix featuring the now late rapper.
Check it out below.
Another fond memory of HHP we hold dear was when he won Strictly Come Dancing back in 2007. HHP was a crowd favourite he was said to have enjoyed the competition so much that he even had plans to continue with ballroom dancing.
Fast forward to 2015 and HHP was announced as the first Hip-Hop act to ever host the SAMAs and he absolutely killed it by performing one of his most successful mainstream songs, Bosso Ke Mang
Although he did receive some criticism about his performance, HHP whole-heartedly enjoyed being on the SAMA stage.
“Taking risks, going against the grain or walking into the unknown wilderness is a daunting and scary mission. Yet doing it and coming out on the other side is a lesson in itself,"
We all know the close relationship Cassper and HHP had, so much so that Cassper featured HHP and his son in his Super man music video, which was probably the last music video HHP featured in.
The country is still in shock after it was confirmed that HHP passed away. News about the hip hop legend broke on broke on Wednesday afternoon. Speaking to TimesLive, his partner Lerato Sengadi said: "Yes, yes, it's true. I am with the family at the moment." Jabba'a passing comes just a few months after Pro Kid's death.
Since the news broke, fans and celebrities including AKA, Cassper Nyovest, DJ Cleo and others, have taken to social media to react to the icon's passing.
Here are some of the reactions:

I'm GUTTED. I went to high school with Jabs. I listened to him sing in the choir. We went to rugby training. I was around for Verbal Assassins. The last time I saw him we chatted candidly and he sounded happy and optimistic. My heart is sore 💔😭 #RIPHHP A talent has been taken.— Rob AF. (@RobForbesDJ) October 24, 2018
