Shows on Power FM, 5 FM, Metro FM, East Coast Radio and Vow FM dominated this year's nomination lists as presenters, producers and station managers all saw the fruits of their labour rightfully honoured on the nominees list.
The organisers of this year's ceremony made it clear that this had been one of the most competitive years in South African radio history. And as tough as it was to choose a list of nominees, choosing the winners will be even tougher!
“With over 1,900 entries to evaluate, the adjudication panel had their work cut out for them,” says Lance Rothschild, CEO of the Liberty Radio Awards. “I’m confident that the adjudication process will ensure that we recognise and honour the best radio work in South Africa over the past year.”
Meanwhile, Killy Bacela, Divisional Executive of Group Brand and Marketing at Liberty said:
“Liberty congratulates all the entrants – and wishes the finalists well. We’re looking forward to acknowledging the winners on Saturday 13 April. Radio, through its reach, is a powerful platform for news, stories and a particularly important platform from which listeners derive information and advice.”
The full list of nominees is too large to past (although it can be found here) but here were a few of our notable highlights including Thando Thabethe, Aphelele Somi and more:
This year's Liberty Radio Awards will take place on the 13th of April at the Sandton Convention Centre. Who do you think will take the big prize?
