Celebrity Deaths In 2019

A year hardly goes by without a soul making its way back to the maker. The year 2019 was no different as saddening news of passing of a number of well-known personalities dominated the scene.

Whenever a loved one gets admitted to hospital, we are left with hopeful thoughts. Unfortunately, our hopeful thoughts and wishes can't save them from a natural and eventual exit on earth.

A round up for media personalities that passed on this year are:

1. Xolani Gwala

The veteran broadcaster passed away after a long battle with cancer. He was buried at his home town - Mpendle.

2. Andile Gumbi.

The former Isibaya actor died all the way in Israel after suffering a heart attack. He is survived by his wife and children.

3 Mandla Maseko.

4. Neyi Zimu.

The towering gospel giant recently passed away after battling with a rare skin disease called mycosis fungoides.

5. Johnny Clegg

Legendary musician, Johnny Clegg also passed away this year. Reportedly, he died after a three year long battle with pancreatic cancer at age 66. He died peacefully at his home.

6. Phil Masinga

When 2019 had just begun, South Africans woke up to news that former Bafana Bafana player, Phil Masinga passed away after a long illness. He was 49.

7. Thami Shobede
The 31-year-old former Idols runner-up reportedly passed at Kalafong Hospital in Pretoria in September after collapsingcollapsingn  stage.
