Babes Wodumo: Pray For Me

Is this her way of asking for help?

Babes Wodumo - or at least her official Twitter account - has broken her silence on the latest scandal to grace the star

This follows a post that went viral of the gqom singer alongside boyfriend Mampintsha looking rather gaunt and worse for wear. The shocking pics evoked concern on social media with many fans believing that Babes is either seriously ill or abusing substances.

Some fans even compared Mzansi's own to the tragic tale of Whitney Houston, who - similarly to Babes - experienced a toxic relationship with her on/off partner, Bobby Brown. Whitney died of an overdose in 2012.

Now whomever manages Babes's Twitter account has asked fans in a tweet for their help in praying for her.

The Twitter account also tweeted the very same pic that went viral, simply captioning it "Be yourself".

It then followed up with another sombre message to fans; "People will still judge me even when I'm dead"

Celebs like Cassper Nyovest have defended Babes against the criticism insisting that her personal life has nothing to do with her talent.

Unfortunately, not everyone was so sympathetic to her prayer request:

Others indulged the post, but poked fun at the star in the process:

In all seriousness, let's hope and pray Babes gets the professional help she needs to conquer any issues she faces.
