Social Media Found Mihlali’s Doppelganger

Socials were in a bit of a tizzy when a video clip made the rounds of a pregnant woman on the set of her maternal shoot while listening to D’Angelo & Lauryn Hill’s ‘Nothing Even Matters‘.

But everything matters because people were quick to assume that that woman was Mihlali Ndamase and she somehow ‘forgot’ to let her followers know that she is preggers.

But before you go clutching your pearls at the deceit, the mother-to-be who was flaunting her baby bump was not Mihlali. It was an American entrepreneur by the name of Gabrielle Jolie-or @Thegabjolie on socials.

When South Africans began flooding her comments section with Mihlali mentions and shocked expressions, Jolie must have had to find out for herself if she and Mihlali do hold a resemblance. Jolie later agreed that she and Mihlali probably shared ancestors.

Props to the motherland.
Those who follow Mihlali and double tap a booty-full IG pic every now and again already know that a pregnancy isn’t a part of the plan she has set out for herself any time soon.

Mihlali previously shared intimate details about her family planning and let her fans know that she is on a serious five-year contraceptive, so pregnancy is the last thing tweeps can expect from the influencer.

Once that shock had worn off for the people of Mzansi (phew), tweeps were pretty impressed that Mihlali’s doppleganger had been spotted with similar features and in similar careers. 

God really did that.
