Qwabe Twins Will Not Be At The Idols Finale

Qwabe Twins Will Not Be At The Idols Finale

Nov 12, 2019, 06:00 PM

A lot of drama has plagued SA singing competition, Idols, over the past few weeks. It all started when one of the beloved Qwabe twins, Virginia, was eliminated.

What followed then was the exit of her twin, Viggy, the following day. Many of us were left with so many questions, and some were answered - mostly by Laurence Qwabe, the twins' father and spokesperson.

Among many of his claims was that the votes in the competition were rigged. And just when we all moved on and continued with life, the twins were seen with DJ Tira; even though we thought it would be Zahara who would take them under her wing. The Loliwe hit maker later revealed that she can't get a hold of them.

That wasn't all, after being seen several times with Malume, there was a contractual dispute - in which the twins' management said they know nothing about the agreement between the former Idols contents and Afrotainment.

With all this mayhem, it comes as no surprise that Viggy and Virginia have turned down the invitation to be a part of the #idolSA finale this Sunday, 17 November. As per every season of the show, the top 10 reunites and performs.

The news was confirmed by HOD PR & publicity of Local Entertainment Channel Philly Kubheka to Sowetan: “Yes, I can confirm Viggy and Virginia are not going to be part of the finale.”

Qwabe senior also confirmed the news, saying: " “This is a decision that was taken by the family and their fans that they should not go to the finale.”

The twins have been on a high lately, and they clearly do not need disturbance.  Fans have been excited about the rumours that they could also be working on something with DJ Zinhle.
