94.7’s resident DJ and one half of the Greg and Lucky Show, Lucky Du Plessis, has announced his departure from the popular radio station. He made the announcement on Twitter on Wednesday, 24 June 2020, and claimed to be continuing with other career opportunities in the future.
The DJ made sure to thank his mentor, Anele Mdoda in his final statement, stating, “To the queen of entertainment, Anele Mdoda, thank you for guiding Greg and myself and allowing me to chat to you for guidance, and food.” Anele responded back with a simple, “We love you.”
Fans and peers flooded his social media pages with messages of sadness, and thanked him for his years of radio entertainment.
