We know that Black Coffee is one of South Africa’s most renowned DJ’s and his ability to translate beats into the international sphere is certainly reaping rewards. Being one of South Africa’s best DJ exports certainly has had its perks.
Black Coffee has had the opportunity to collaborate with some of the world’s biggest names in art and music. His recent collaboration with fellow DJ, David Guetta earned the duo a Club TV Award for the Best “Going Deep” Music Video. The awards which were hosted in France were created to honour the best in house and electronic music videos
Other artists under the South African born and raised DJ’s collaborative belt includes Kelly Rowland, Alicia Keys, Usher, and Drake. The latter of whom the DJ featured in a remix of his popular hit song Superman featuring vocals from up and coming singer-songwriter Jorja Smith
This past week the DJ who is also an incredibly talented producer was honoured again, this time on his own. He was awarded the What’s On Nightlife Award for Best International DJ Set. The award which was hosted in Dubai is one of House and Electronic music’s biggest honours. The show aims to celebrate the very best in the nightlife industry. They don’t just honour DJs but they also honour Promoters, top bars, and clubs.
The award show itself was a star-studded event with a guest list of nominees, industry professionals, special VIP guests, and sponsors.
Black Coffee took to his Instagram to share a video of the announcement of his win with the caption “Counting all the Blessings 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿”
Fellow South African DJ, Euphonik took to his Twitter to congratulate his fellow talented comrade in music.
