Boikanyo posted the news on her timeline, revealing that she obtained her BA Hons in film and television from the University of Witwatersrand. She called it an unforgettable milestone—then added that the announcement came with a second, equally emotional victory.
Her mom, she explained, pulled off a surprise by delivering a brand-new vehicle as a way to commemorate the achievement. In the post, Botlhale noted that the moment felt like it went beyond what she ever expected.
In her caption, she said she believed the pair’s stop at the car dealership after graduation was meant to serve a different purpose—specifically, that her mother would be collecting her own car after earning a doctorate. Instead, the plans shifted on the spot, and both women left with cars.
“This might be the biggest surprise of my life. As if graduation day wasn’t already one of the most unforgettable days of my life, my mom somehow made it even more special,” she wrote.
Boikanyo also used the moment to spotlight her mother’s influence on her journey. She expressed deep gratitude, calling her mom a constant supporter and describing how she has “anchored” her in prayer, helped nurture her voice, and taught her to dream without limits.
She added that her mother has overcome challenges, broken free from generational cycles, and built a life grounded in purpose, kindness, and love. For Botlhale, the experience has been a living example of faith.
“I always say I know God is real because I’ve experienced His love through my mom. Thank you, Mom. I love you so much. We officially have a car, Besties.”
