The South African Music Awards, better known as the Samas, are gearing up for a major comeback at Sun City and have just revealed rapper Cassper Nyovest as the official host for this year’s ceremony.
It’s a surprising turn that has fans calling it a full-on plot twist.
For years, Cassper has openly taken aim at the awards, challenging their credibility and previously insisting he wouldn’t submit his music or attend the event at all.
Now, as the announcement landed on Wednesday, the Doc Shebeleza hitmaker appears to have shifted his stance, saying the two sides have resolved their differences.
“The cat is out the bag. I am so excited for this. After 10 years of not seeing eye to eye, they called me in and we have come to an agreement. This is gonna be huge. August 15. We are going to Sun City and I am your official host. Tickets out now at Ticketpro. #Sama32.”
