Montloana Warren Masemola was born on 18 May 1983 in Pretoria, South Africa. He moved to Soshanguve with his parents and siblings. 

In 2021, Warren Masemola lost her mother to a brain tumour, a condition she'd battled for years. Not much is out there about his siblings but he’s referenced his sister who helped her understand alopecia. 

Warren Masemola was only six years old when he got the condition and says other kids made fun of him.

Warren Masemola has since featured in numerous movies and TV Shows. His big break arrived in 2008 when he was cast in "Scandal" and played the role of an art director named Lentswe Mokethi.

After his success on the show, he took a leading role in "Ses’Top La" in which he played the gay character, Thokozani “Thoko” Chanel. His role won him the SAFTA Golden Horn Awards for the Best Supporting Actor in a television comedy.
