Europe’s biggest comedy festival has opened up its doors to South African Comedians. The Montreux Comedy Contest has decided to up the ante this year by diversifying their line-up. Part of this diversification involves giving up-and-coming South African comedians the opportunity to shine.
Contest organizers stated on their site, “Comedy Contest offers a springboard for emerging comedy talent. Originally open to USA contestants, this year we kick it up a notch by opening up submissions to UK and African artists as well.”
South Africa has done a pretty good job when it comes to growing and developing comedians in recent years. Seriously, we’ve got some of the best in the business. So if you think you have what it takes, why not represent South Africa on an international stage?
Enter within the next 6 days by uploading a 5 minute stand-up clip of yourself on the Montreux Comedy Contest site, and who knows, you could find yourself sharing a stage with the likes of Trevor Noah and Deep Fried Man at a comedy event!
