Actress and TV presenter Amanda du Pont has confirmed that her appearance in Slikour’s I Got You music video was merely a performance and not real life.
Amanda was a guest on a recent episode of ‘ScreenTime With Nicky Greenwall’, where she finally officially denied ever having been in a relationship with Slikour, albeit some two years after the fact.
Rumours were rife in 2012 after the release of the video, which shows Amanda and Slikour acting very loved-up and gives the distinct impression that it’s footage of them being themselves.
But the former ‘Muvhango’ actress, when quizzed about whether the video is acting or reality TV, without hesitation said: “This is acting. And that’s what I love about it. The fact that people are fascinated.My tweets, social media were saying to me ‘wow that’s true love, this video made me believe in love again’. If I can make you feel then I have achieved what I wanted to achieve because this is my passion.”
“I love him, but on a personal level,” she further clarified.
“We’re really close friends. But I made people believe in love through a music video? That’s insane.”
