Basetsana Kumalo wants viewers to give Ayanda Mpama a chance.
Speaking to Daily Sun, she said: “The idea of the show is to always have a new presenter per new season and I believe we should give Aya a chance and see how she does. We shouldn’t judge her without giving her a chance. That’s my take.”
The statement comes after some on social media demanded Tumi Morake, who bid the show farewell on Sunday, to come back.
Aya, on the other hand, doesn’t seem to mind the negative response from social media so far.
“I am just happy not all the comments are negative. As long as people have an opinion and the show continues to trend on Sundays, my job will be done,” she told the publication.
She added that people must give her a chance, as they might end up loving her.
“I think people must just wait and see. I may surprise them and they might end up loving me,” she said. “Nothing anyone can say about me can be worse than what I say about myself.”
