"I’ve lost my true authentic self! I have become fake and plastic! The fame monster has gotten a hold of me! What you can do for me is to pray for me! Honestly please pray for me! It would really help," he wrote.
Although Lasizwe said he will delete all his social media applications to start on a clean slate, his pages have remained active since his melt down, albeit without him physically posting anything. "With that being said with immediate effect I am deleting all my social media applications and beginning a journey of self-discovery."
Breaking his silence since his short hiatus, Lasizwe stated, “To everyone who sent me get well messages, Thank you so much! Your messages kept me warm during a dark phase in my life, I am still fighting a winning battle! Depression is real and deadly! I love you and appreciate you so much! I feel free.” The message was accompanied by a video of himself standing on a beach in Cape Town, where he is currently taking a break with bestie, Khanyi Mabu.
Khanyi has also shared insight into the past few days with Lasizwe, and even showcased them having a round of retail therapy at the Giorgio Armani store in Sandton City. In a series of posts shared today, 18 September 2020, the pair were seen touching down in Cape Town, where they will receive some much deserved time off.
