Blaq Diamond was and still is the hottest act in the country and they proved it by snatching the number 1 spot on the MTV's Hottest New Wave list for 2021. Not only that, but they are on every relevant radio station, their songs especially their banger Summer Yomuthi keeps people on the dance floors and they are topping charts left right and centre. They have a fairly good catalogue but rapper Emtee does not seem to thinks so.

From the moment Blaq Diamond rose to fame, Emtee has always bad mouthed the duo to the point where many thought he was jealous of their success. Recently, he had a Q 'n A session with his followers who wanted to know more about his forthcoming album, Logan.
When a fan suggested that people need a collaboration from the two, he quickly squashed the suggestion and said "over my dead body."
Blaq Diamond is a duo consisting of Ndumiso Mdletshe and Sphelele Dunywa affectionately known as Ndu Browns and Danya Devs respectively. The boys hail all the way from Ladysmith KwaZulu-Natal and are shaking the game with their new and unique sound. Their sound is really kind of hard to miss because of their ability to infuse Afro Pop and Hip/Hop, roping in a new audience to vibe to their vernacular sound.
The duo is doing very well for themselves in terms of music but them being signed under the disgraced record label Ambitiouz Entertainment does not sit well with Emtee.
He made it very clear that he will never be in good terms with the record label and neither will he be in good terms with anybody signed under them. Last year, Emtee dissed the boys by saying they are broke as he makes more money than the both of them combined. He also suggested that they live in his former abode and drive his old cars as provided for by the label.
Ambitiouz had previously distanced themselves from claims that they are the ones behind the repossession of Emtee's house and cars. It was alleged that Emtee had those items repossessed because he failed to pay rent and he caused them damage.
In response to a tweep, Emtee called the duo irrelevant and said they are topping charts but will not get a cent from their hard work, "Lol they living in my old apartment, driving my old car and guess what ... their proud. I got more money than them combined and their topping charts which we all know the my won’t get a cent for. Stop playing wimme! I’m tired of talking about irrelevant people and cults."
