Music duo Blaq Diamond came out victorious as they won the much contested Record Of The Year award at the final episode of the 26th edition of the South African Music Awards.

The Afro-pop group closed the 5-day ceremony by winning the ROTY category with their hit 'Ibhanoyi', which was voted for by the public.
Other acts that were on top of their game was Prince Kaybee, Ndabo Zulu, Benjamin Dube who dominated the SAMA's winning three awards each.
Prince Kaybee took home three big prizes including the Album of the Year, Male Artist of the Year and Best Dance Album for Re Mmino.
