The South African Music Awards (SAMAs) are trending again for the wrong reasons! Since the nominees for the 2020 edition were announced, the awards have attracted some negative energy on social media, and peeps are not happy with the selection criteria.

Just recently Makhadzi and Master KG expressed their disappointment after being snubbed. Tweeps reckoned that they deserved to be nominated as they have had a tremendous year in 2019, and their hit songs Matorokisi and Jerusalema captivated many people.
Rapper Nadia Nakai recently took to Twitter to slam the award for not recognizing her also. Nadia asked RISA if they have a woman in their panel? The rapper said she submitted and it was for the last time because these awards mean sh*t to her, she wrote “Listen, I know my Album is good… I’ve been around to long to know that these awards don’t really mean shit…. 🖕🏾 imma keep moving…. always.”
Cassper supported her and said she deserves a nomination for the Best Hip Hop album. Should they go back to the drawing board, because it seems as if a lot of people are not happy?
