This time around, however, it is for a rather unfortunate reason... Dudumashe's glamorous wedding was reportedly a charity event.
Dudumashe, who is married to businessman Siyolo Dudumashe, reportedly couldn't afford her lavish wedding after a weekly magazine she writes columns for withdrew its financial sponsorship and fired her, Sunday World reported.
The wedding was reportedly saved by government ministers and Sophie Ndaba, who was the wedding organiser and reduced her fees.
The report states that the Deputy Minister of Higher Education Mduduzi Manana donated bottles of whiskey and Home Affairs Minister Malusi Gigaba also donated gifts.
Other close allies reportedly donated wine for VIPs and guests.
The report was however met with much criticism from social media, including Economic Freedom Fighter leader Julius Malema, who recently got married himself.
@positivegp if such contributions and gifts from our immediate are regarded as charity then most of us who are married r guilty of such— Julius Sello Malema (@Julius_S_Malema) June 21, 2015

Judging from Dudumashe's tweets, it was people she trusted that betrayed her.
Sadly it's people I trusted! https://t.co/1dMqKSONig— Criselda Dudumashe (@positivegp) June 21, 2015
Especially when you also have a helping hand unto others. https://t.co/YuUd5wT1Bd— Criselda Dudumashe (@positivegp) June 21, 2015

Criselda further issued a statement about the entire rumour on social media:
"Fact is we had the most amazing wedding and we are eternally grateful to all our friends and family for the love and support. My brother said. "Sometimes, unknowingly, we invite people into our space, out of the generosity of our hearts, unaware they've devious intentions, they're snakes and backstabbers. Relax, after one story, it passes and other stories take over. It is not you they're trying to embarrass or break, but it is themselves they're exposing as people not worth of trust and kindness." Thank you for the words of encouragement these are lies. How can people be this cruel??? Lady Karma uyeza nakubo. Thank you SA for celebrating with us not this nonsense"
