Eliminated 'Big Brother Mzansi' contestant Mbali Zulu says the controversial incident for which he was summarily kicked out of the house wasn't quite as violent as it seems on film.
A 26-year-old marketing coordinator from Soweto, Zulu was removed from the 'Big Brother' house after he slapped the face of 21-year-old contestant Iris Miya, intimidated her, and grabbed her by the head.
Speaking to the Daily Sun in the wake of his forced eviction, Zulu hinted that the situation might have been pulled out of proportion.
"To be honest, I don't regard it as an attack," Zulu said when asked if he thought he was being violent.
"But I understand totally that at the end of the day it turned out to look exactly like that. I was just being playful with Iris.
"I admit, especially after seeing the footage, that it was a bit rough and I hope she understands - or will understand - that it was not my intention."
