It seems the re-opening of groove and events is causing headaches to some celebs and event's promoters, as scammers are hard at work doing them dirty. Another celeb whose name has been used to scam an event organizer is DJ Lamiez Holworthy.

The DJ has come out with guns blazing to clear her name, after a scammer used her name to scam a KZN-based establishment recently.
According Lebolesi Lifestyle Facebook page, the DJ was scheduled to perform at the venue this past Saturday, but it turns out they were communicating with an imposter, while booking her.
Other artists who were billed to perform at the establishment included Mbito De Deep, DJ Tuka and Sbudda. As the establishment was gearing up for the event, they promoted it on Facebook and captioned DJ Lamiez's poster "DJ Lamiez it can only be at Leboseli Lifestyle."
The establishment later took to Facebook to update fans that they have been scammed, and they would be taking legal actions to address the matter "Lebolesi has unfortunately been scammed. Lebolesi will take legal steps to address this matter . We apologize for this inconvenience. Lebolesi is professional establishment and we took all necessary measures to secure the booking . However it looks like our effort fell right in to the hand of fraudulent people."
In a video DJ Lamiez said the imposter even signed a contract pretending to be her, and he was extremely rude.
“So, this morning I was alerted of a very alarming trend of someone pretending to be me. This person scammed an establishment in Harrismith called Lebolesi lifestyle. These people were under the impression I’m playing there and obviously I’m not. This person went as far as signing a contract and being extremely rude, his texts were sent as if they were coming from me. One, I have one manager who happens to be my mom. Everyone knows that my mom has managed me for the past 10 years, from the time that I started deejaying until this date, So please guys, do not fall for this scam. A criminal case has been opened and this person will be found,” she said.
The DJ recently left many people on envy mode when she went all out to spoil her hubby Khuli Chana, on his birthday The lovebirds headed outside of Johannesburg for some much-needed relaxation time at Palala Boutique Game Lodge & Spa.
They enjoyed outdoor picnics with matching outfits and outdoor baths. Kuli was spoiled rotten with designer brands ranging from Louis Vuitton, to Dolce & Gabanna, and Maxhosa.
