On a now-deleted tweet, @thabisomojela bashed the DJ saying he is on Twitter asking about best vans while he hasn’t paid his employees. Shimza’s initial tweet was asking his followers to tell him which manufacture makes the best vans.

Rubbishing the tweep’s claims, Shimza clarified that his employees only get paid on the last day of the month. He added that whoever whose payment is still outstanding must take it up with the management.

He tweeted: “We pay our employees month end which is the last day of the month as per our payroll system, ask whoever hasn’t been paid to speak to management, there’s no need for this Twitter thing you trying to do.”
@thabisomojela still insisted that Shimza owes his staff, he said he knows this because his girlfriend is one of Shimza’s employees.

“No bro you pay them ka di 25. My GF works there,” he hit back at Shimza.

Other tweeps took to the comments section to drag @thabisomojela for making such allegations, they said maybe his girlfriend is the one who lied to him.

Modirwa responded: “like Seems your girlfriend lied to you and gave the money to her other boyfriend cause ogo bone gore wa baiza.. what is left is for her to leave you.”

@Heaven_sbo said his girlfriend lied because she was avoiding to give him money.
“ Your gf was trying not to give you money by saying they were not paid yet. And you take this matter to her boss...”
DJ Shimza also recently found himself embroiled in corruption allegations following last month’s reports that Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi-Ngubane will be having a ministerial cookoff with radio and TV personality Somizi Mhlongo at Shimza’s restaurant.

The event was reportedly meant to revive the country’s tourism industry and it was also a part of the upcoming budget vote for 2021.

Tweeps questioned how Shimza’s restaurant got to be picked as the event’s hosting venue. They also asked about the tender’s selection process.

In his defense, Shimza said they should ask the Department of Tourism about the process because he was only asked for the venue and agreed.

“This is the department of tourism’s program, ask them what the process was, we were asked for a venue and we agreed. There’s really nothing more here,” responded Shimza.
